In the 12 months since first opening for business, Exmouth start-up company Bikelands has stayed ahead of the curve by providing an outstanding boutique service from their south-west based store. Now, aiming to bring their individual service to the nation, Bikelands has launched www.bikelands.co.uk, the one-stop-shop for customers looking for two wheeled substance as well as style.

With a background rooted in the fashion & lifestyle industries and a true passion for cycling and design, Bikelands owners Stuart Newlands and Rebecca Haywood have carefully handpicked the store’s off and online collection from cycling’s best.

Housed in an old picture gallery in Exmouth, the Bikelands store offers a selection of bikes, gifts, accessories and handpicked artwork. Close attention to detail and insistence on quality has been fundamental in creating the stunning line-up of bicycles from the likes of Bobbin Bicycles, TokyoBike, Electra, CreateBikes, MangoBikes and Polo&Bike. Bikelands premium service offers customisation of the bikes, with a hand selected range of custom leather accessories, clothing items, tool kits and books also available both in store and online.

Thanks to the launch of bikelands.co.uk, die hard cycling aficionados and new bike enthusiasts alike can now quickly access this range of beautifully made, high quality bikes and accessories at the touch of a button.

Commenting on the launch co-owner Stuart Newlands said:

“We are very excited to bring our slice of Devon cycle style to the world-wide-web. We believe that the experience of choosing and buying a beautiful bike should be as pleasant as riding the bikes themselves. The launch of bikelands.co.uk will help extend the Bikelands family far beyond our shop’s front door!”

Notes to editor

Biog: Stuart and Rebecca moved from London with their children in May 2012. Stuart’s long work hours and Rebecca’s longing for walks on the sand dunes led to an epiphany and 8 months later they arrived in Exmouth, Devon! Stuart had a career in fashion & luxury (working for the likes of Harvey Nichols, Thomas Pink and Bill Amberg) so is well versed in retail. Rebecca has been a stay at home mum for the past five years, though in a previous life worked in TV and managed at the private members club Soho House in London, so being a people person has come in handy.
