Shipping, Returns, Refunds

FREE SHIPPING is available on all accessories orders over £30 !!* (within UK Mainland). Just £2.80 on all orders under, which is less than the cost of a small second class parcel with Royal Mail.

Accessories and gifts generally take between 2 to 7 working days to reach you (when using second class and Parcel2Go), however orders are shipped each day so we aim to get your goods to you within 2 working days. Sometimes larger items such as baskets can take a little longer in order to send the most cost effective way (basket shipping starts at £5.00). To enable us to send goods with FREE postage, purchases are sent 2nd Class (standard second class price is £2.85), Parcel2Go, and bikes go by courier.  

Allow minimum of 7 working days for a bike delivery to allow us to check over your bike and package securely.

Please open and check your parcel within 5 days of receiving your order to ensure there is no loss/damage during transit.  This is because we are unable to claim for any damage during transit after 7 days.

If you're in a rush and want things sooner, please get in touch to arrange a more speedy delivery and we are happy to send first class or Guaranteed Delivery with a small additional fee (pending postal service prices).

All the products we list are in stock at Bikelands, bar the odd stock discrepancy or on very rare occasions simultaneous purchasing in store and online. Very occasionally we list a product that is from a trusted supplier who holds stock on our behalf.  We will always let you know before hand.   

Bicycles are checked, set up and made ready for shipping which usually takes a little longer. However, we try to get them shipped within 3 working days of placing your order.

I make an effort to package your goods with care and consideration, often wrapping your items in tissue paper and happy to gift wrap upon request (a nominal fee may be required on some goods). On occasion we may re-use boxes and bubble wrap that are in tip top condition. This is both an 'eco' decision as we continue to strive for a more sustainable future, as well as keeping high shipping costs down. We hope you appreciate this decision. 


Our returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. So if for whatever reason you're dissatisfied with your order then please please get in touch pronto so we can fix things! To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.  

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer, send it to us and we'll contact the manufacturer if necessary. There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)
Book with obvious signs of use
CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened.
Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery
Damages in transit should be reported within 5 days of receiving your consignment.
Bike Deliveries - If you notice any damage to the shipping box, please make the courier aware before signing. If  possible please sign for the consignment 'Unchecked'.  Please note that a damaged box doesn't necessarily mean a damaged bike.  If there you do find any damage to the bike, please report to immediately.


Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, as soon as possible.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, please get in touch so we can confirm we've processed it. 

Then check your bank account again. 

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items 

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded but we will happily provide a credit note. 'Demo' and sample goods are 'sold as seen' and cannot be returned or refunded.

FREE shipping is a major investment for us as an independent bike shop and a super deal for you the customer. However, as I am sure you will understand, the free shipping only applies to the original purchase. We cannot extend free shipping to exchanges. We can contact you to arrange the exchanged item postage (the price is the actual cost of postage - no profit is made). This does not effect your statutory rights on the rare occasions damaged or incorrect items are sent.    

Where to Send Returns

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. Or we will call to arrange payment for the shipping. 
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
When sending returns, you should always consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance as we cannot accept responsibility of mailed orders or replace goods if they don't reach us.
We cannot accept responsibility of items lost that are sent to a shared postal address. Bikelands promise to send goods using a reputable postal companies with correct postage payment and the correct address, but if you have a shared mail box you may want to consider an alternative postal address such as a work address.     
Likewise we cannot resend goods to a customer if the wrong postal address was given at the time of ordering.
